FFMPEG + dependencies + codecs on linux Hardy Heron

April 13th, 2009

I have a dedicated server which I wish to use for video uploading and playback.
I’ve tried to install FFMPEG and the PHP libraries without any luck so I need someone to help me out.
I’m sure it’s something simple that shouldn’t take very long to fix, I just don’t really have any experience with this.

Server OS is Ubuntu linux 8.04 running apache2 hosted on webfusion.co.uk. Fully root access for SSH will be given to provider.

Just to recap, I need the following installed: FFMPEG, FFMPEG-PHP, MPlayer, MenCoder, flv2tool, LAME MP3 encoder and anything else these might require to run. All must be fully working and functional after installing. Please only apply if you have done this before or know what you’re doing. This is on a production server and I can’t risk any loss of data or downtime etc.

(Budget: $30-250, Jobs: Linux, PHP, Script Installation, System Admin., Website Security)
