Sql Server Db

I have setup mssql support on my linux machine. I am having trouble connecting to a remote sql server2000. I think the prob is a slow sql server and a timeout issue. Unfortunately I do not have another sql server that I can connect to. So I need mssql db that I can connect to remotely from my server using my php script just so I can test to see whether I can connect. So I need either an existing mssql db that I can connect to or I need one setup that I can connect to.
